The State Institute of Economics, Finance, Law, and Technology held the International Conference on ‘The Impact of German Thought on the Development of the Russian Economy, Culture and Law’ on 13 April 2016 at the State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel in St Petersburg.
Building on the success of the activities of Association of German and Russian Economists (Dialog e. V.) this conference consolidated and expanded the multifarious dimensions, discourse and discussions through a creative sharing of ideas, research and practice. Academics, practitioners, doctoral and master students from Russian and German Universities contributed to the fruitful and lively discussions about the impact of German economic thought on the development of the Russian economy, the reception of the elements of German law within the Russian legal system, the influence of the formative ideas of German philosophers on Russian philosophy.
